2008 Browning Citori Lightning Grade I 12 Gauge 28" Over/Under Shotgun with Box

Offered here is a Browning Citori Lightning Grade I over/under shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This example was manufactured in Japan by Miroku in 2008 and features 28-inch polished-blued barrels with 3-inch chambers and the Browning Invector-Plus interchangeable choke system.

The Citori Lightning is one of Browning’s most respected field-grade over/under shotguns. Its Lightning-style stock incorporates a rounded pistol grip designed for quick, natural mounting and comfortable handling in the field. Combined with the 28-inch barrels, the configuration is well suited for upland hunting, dove hunting, sporting clays and general recreational shooting.

The shotgun features a steel receiver with traditional scroll engraving, a gold-finished single selective trigger, top-tang safety and barrel selector, automatic ejectors, a ventilated top rib and checkered Grade I walnut furniture with a high-gloss finish. A factory ventilated recoil pad is installed.

The firearm’s “MP” serial-number date code identifies it as a 2008-production shotgun. The original Browning box is numbered to the firearm and confirms the Citori Lightning Grade I configuration, 12-gauge chambering, 3-inch chambers, 28-inch barrels and Invector-Plus choke system.

This example appears to be in excellent used condition. The polished-blue metal finish remains strong, the receiver engraving is crisp and the gold trigger retains its finish. The walnut stock and forearm retain their original gloss finish and display attractive color and grain. A few light handling and storage marks are visible in the wood, but no major cracks, chips, repairs, corrosion or abuse are apparent in the supplied photographs.

The action and locking surfaces show grease or storage residue consistent with maintenance and storage. The original cardboard box displays exterior edge and storage wear. Please examine all photographs carefully because they show the actual firearm and accessories being offered and form an important part of the condition description.

Included accessories shown in the photographs include the original numbered Browning box, factory paperwork, choke wrench, choke-tube lubricant, protective packaging and a Carlson’s Improved Cylinder Invector-Plus choke tube package. The box label indicates Full and Modified Invector-Plus chokes. Buyers should verify the choke tubes presently installed and included before use.

This is an attractive, traditionally styled Japanese-made Citori with a desirable 28-inch field configuration, excellent cosmetic condition and its original matching factory box.

CONDITION STATEMENT

Excellent used condition. Polished-blue metal finish remains strong with crisp receiver engraving and no significant visible corrosion. The Grade I walnut stock and forearm retain their original gloss finish and checkering, with scattered minor handling and storage marks visible under close inspection. No major cracks, chips or repairs are apparent. The action interior shows grease or storage residue. Original numbered box displays exterior shelf and edge wear. Bore condition and mechanical function have not been independently documented. Not represented as unfired.
